4/12/08    Wyndham Announces Major Project in Vegas

Wyndham Vacation Ownership (the timeshare division of Wyndham Hotels) announced a 19-story Wyndham Desert Blue for Las Vegas.  The project will be built on 14.76 acres across Twain from Rio's large, surface parking lot (West Twain Avenue at Dean Martin).  The location will give uninterrupted views of the Las Vegas Strip.

The first phase will have 281 units, with a projected opening date in early 2010.  Future expansion could bring up to 2,000 rooms to the site.
No groundbreaking date was given.

The non-gaming property will include:

• one-, two- and three-bedroom suites
• 50 Presidential Suites
• pool
• recreation room
• computer library
• game room
• fitness center
